But as rooters of the television competition will know – talent does not grab the title all the time, with novelty and politics playing a big part in it. The pop duo of Edward Grimes and John Grimes defeated four other acts in the fight to represent their nation in May in Azerbaijan.

Last year, after coming 8th in Düsseldorf, best performance by Ireland at the Eurovision for years – the nation is expecting that this year Jedward will prove more successful. The young singers and their single Waterline was declared on chat show Late Late Show Eurosong Special after snatching the highest number of public votes as well as regional jury votes.

After coming to know that they have been selected, Jedward twins uttered that they are feeling like crazy and they are also very excited. They did the same thing last year and they are going back and they have many fans in Europe. It looks like that they are back, the successful comeback of Jedward.

The pair who were a smash with the European media and audiences have gone grab more than a host of brand new fans across Europe and have visited other countries over the last year. Last few years experience a diverse range of acts going to represent the nation at the competition including former champion Niamh Kavanagh and Dustin the Turkey.
Jedward’s track Waterline – which is remindful of Abba’s 1974 1974 Eurovision-winning entry Waterloo – was written by Nick Jarl.

The twins came into spotlight in at The X Factor season 2009 with performances on tracks like “Oops I Did It Again” of Britney Spears and Ghostbusters theme track. After that Jedward did not look back.

Now they have their own hit number “Under Pressure”. They went into Celebrity Big Brother’s house and in Eurovision, they represented Ireland. They also have a whole line of sponsorship and advertising deals in their bag.

Because of their flamboyant performance in Eurovision last year, the fan base of these two young singers has grown quite fast. Their popularity among teenage and children has not gone down considering the fact that in their recent albums have not done too well compared to the previous records.

Recently, the twin sensation’s number of followers have passed the half a million mark on Twitter @PlanetJedward. After that they tweeted, “EVERYONE READY FOR THE 500000 FOLLOWER VIDEO! ITS HERE AND READY TO BE SEEN ARE YOU READY.”

To celebrate this milestone, the singers uploaded a video clip called “Jexy and I Know It”, in which the boys can be seen dancing on LMFAO’s present hit “Sexy and I Know It.” Grimes brothers rip off their t shirts and dance sporting a pair of Statue of Liberty shades along with a smiley poster hiding their modesty.

The clip will certainly amuse Jedward’s fans but we are not too sure what their parents are thinking. Well, we will look forward to that.
